Kate Middleton Cancer And Is Undergoing Chemotherapy

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has disclosed her ongoing battle with cancer in a recent and emotional health update. The royal revelation has sent shockwaves around the globe.

In an unexpected disclosure, the Duchess of Cambridge, 42, announced on Friday that she was diagnosed with cancer. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy following the diagnosis, which was made after “major abdominal surgery” at the London Clinic back in January.

“The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present,” a gaunt Kate said in a heartbreaking videotaped statement.

Post-operation, the medical experts advised Kate to commence a round of preventative chemotherapy, a treatment she has recently started.

“This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,” the mother of three added.

The Duchess did not disclose the type of cancer she is dealing with; however, she expressed her determination and strength, insisting she is “well and getting stronger every day.”

She praised her husband, Prince William, as a “great source of comfort and reassurance.”

The news of her distressing diagnosis puts an end to the rampant speculation swirling around the Duchess’s health after the details of her surgery were initially kept confidential.

“The surgery was successful,” Kate said.

Several conspiracy theories quickly sprouted in light of her public absence. These theories only intensified after Kate posted a heavily edited UK Mother’s Day image that received a “kill notice” from major press agencies.

In her statement, Kate expressed her gratitude for the “love, support and kindness” from the public. However, she also asked for privacy as she continues her battle.

“We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment,” she said.

Kate expressed her eagerness to return to her duties when she is fit, but for now, she is focusing on making a full recovery.

“My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy and I look forward to being back when I am able, but for now I must focus on making a full recovery.”

Kate’s shocking diagnosis comes just months after her father-in-law, King Charles, revealed that he too is battling cancer.

“The princess was flooded with other well wishes in the wake of her diagnosis being made public.”

Following the princess’ announcement, a Buckingham Palace representative said the king was “so proud of Catherine for her courage in speaking as she did.”

“My thoughts are with the Princess of Wales, Prince of Wales, the Royal Family and in particular her three children at this difficult time,” British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, too, addressed the news during a press briefing Friday afternoon.

“Our thoughts are with the Duchess of Cambridge and her family members and friends during this incredibly difficult time.”
