Actress Nicole Eggert has revealed that she has shaved her head after being diagnosed with breast cancer. The 47-year-old shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo of herself with a shaved head and a message of support for other cancer patients.
“I shaved my head today,” Eggert wrote. “This is not easy, but it’s empowering. I’m not going to let cancer define me.” Eggert was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2022 after finding a lump in her breast.

She has since undergone a lumpectomy and radiation therapy. In her Instagram post, Eggert urged her followers to get regular mammograms and to be aware of the signs and symptoms of breast cancer.
She also thanked her family and friends for their support. “I’m so grateful for the love and support of my family and friends,” Eggert wrote. “I’m going to fight this with everything I have.”
Eggert’s diagnosis and subsequent decision to shave her head have been met with an outpouring of support from her fans and fellow celebrities. Many have praised her for her courage and strength.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States, with an estimated 281,550 new cases and 43,600 deaths expected in 2022.
Women are encouraged to get regular mammograms starting at age 40. However, women with a family history of breast cancer or other risk factors may need to start getting mammograms earlier.
