Apple Introduced iPad Pro and iPad Air With New Features

Apple officially announced the new iPad Pro and iPad Air models, as well as updated accessories. During the event, Tim Cook — Apple’s CEO — said that this was “the biggest update” to the brand’s tablets since they were first presented.

The two new versions of the iPad gained an option with a slightly larger screen. Furthermore, the information that covered the products’ hardware specifications ended up being confirmed during the ‘apple’ online event.

iPad Air

The first highlight of the event was the iPad Air, which will now be sold in two sizes, including an unprecedented variant with a 13-inch screen. The models now arrive equipped with the M2 chip in versions that can vary between 128 GB and 1 TB of internal storage.

The version with an 11-inch display has a suggested retail price of US$599, while the 13-inch version will hit the market costing US$799. Both models are available for pre-order starting today. Sales, according to Apple, officially start next week.

iPad Pro

The main star of Apple ‘s event was the iPad Pro, which like the Air, gained a new 13-inch variant. However, this is not the only detail that draws attention to the screen. For the first time, Apple is launching a tablet with a panel with OLED technology, which in practice offers higher levels of brightness and contrast.

The product also attracts attention with its ultra-thin design. The 11-inch model is 5.3mm thick, while the 13-inch is just 5.1mm. These numbers — which are quite impressive — make it the thinnest device ever manufactured by Apple. Look:

The event confirmed another detail that had already been leaked: the iPad Pro has the powerful M4 chip, which guarantees much higher performance than the previous model, which was equipped with an M2 chip.

Furthermore, the product has a 12 MP rear camera, a 12 MP front camera and will be sold in versions ranging from 256 GB to 2 TB of internal storage. Suggested prices start at $999 for the 11-inch model and $1,299 for the 13-inch. Pre-sales start today.

New Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil

The new version also has compatibility with the new Magic Keyboard, which has been redesigned with buttons for quick access to actions such as controlling brightness, audio volume, activating and deactivating the microphone, media management, as well as a larger trackpad.

Another new feature from the ‘apple’ was the Apple Pencil Pro, which has now gained features to make the work of creative professionals more practical. The accessory has a new pressure-responsive sensor that allows you to change drawing tools, in addition to supporting Find My.

The new Magic Keyboard has suggested prices of US$299, for the version compatible with the 11-inch model, and US$349, for the larger version, compatible with the 13-inch model. On the other hand, the Apple Pencil Pro has a suggested retail price of US$129. The products are now available for pre-orders.
