Teens involved in dangerous police chase in Houston

HOUSTON – The chase began in the 2900 block of Hirschfield Rd when officers conducted a traffic stop a stolen vehicle containing three teenagers, ages 13 and 14, but instead of stopping, they ran away. The chase took an unexpected turn when authorities say the driver of the stolen vehicle attempted to ram one of the officers.

All three suspects were arrested and it was revealed that the 13-year-old driver was wearing an ankle monitor and had a criminal history that included prior charges for unauthorized use of a vehicle, breaking and entering, evading and theft.

All three suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center. The driver was charged with Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, and Evading in a Motor Vehicle. The two juvenile passengers were charged with Evading Arrest.
