Oliver Hudson recently dropped a bombshell on his podcast. He confessed to being unfaithful to his wife, Erinn Bartlett, before their wedding in 2006. This revelation has stirred up a whirlwind of reactions and speculations among fans and the media alike.

The 47-year old actor made this candid disclosure during a session of his popular podcast, “Sibling Revelry,” which he co-hosts with his sister, Kate Hudson.

“When I got engaged, something happened psychologically, and I spiraled, and I was unfaithful, and I was cheating, and I was crazy,” Oliver confessed candidly.

The admission has raised eyebrows and sparked discussions about trust, betrayal and forgiveness in relationships.

Oliver Hudson, known for his role in “Rules of Engagement,” opened up about how he spiraled into infidelity after his engagement to Erinn Bartlett in 2004.

Despite his behavior, he maintained that he never got caught. But the weight of his actions eventually led him to confess to his fiancée.

“I told her everything because I couldn’t live with myself and get married and be married and have children with this sort of weight.”

Oliver described his journey to redemption as a psychological battle. His transformation into a deserving partner for Bartlett involved digging deep into his actions and their underlying causes.

“I had to get through it psychologically before I became the man Bartlett deserved.”

His mother, Goldie Hawn, played a significant role in this transformation, helping him to look at the entirety of his relationship and not just focus on his misdeeds.

The actor insists that despite his past, he is a good man who made some poor decisions.

“I’ve made some horrible, horrible choices in my life generally. But I don’t know who I would be if I didn’t make that choice,” he added.

After enduring the storm of their pre-wedding days, the couple eventually tied the knot in 2006. They are now parents to three children – Wilder Brooks, Bodhi Hawn, and Rio Laura.

When asked about regrets, Oliver gave a thought-provoking response.

“Regret is an interesting word. I’m not sure I have many regrets because if I didn’t, it was a choice that I made, whether it was a positive one or a negative one.”
