A male ostrich, identified as Tadori, staged a daring escape from Bug City, a zoo located in the South Korean town of Seongnam.

Tadori’s audacious breakout saw him weave skillfully through the town’s heavy traffic for nearly sixty minutes, leaving a trail of surprised drivers in his wake. These unusual antics were captured by witnesses and quickly circulated on various social media platforms.

The local law enforcement and fire department were soon on the scene, initiating a chase that ended with Tadori’s capture approximately 1.62 miles from Bug City.

The bird was eventually corralled into a car park using a net, with the footage of the capture further fueling the online buzz.

Subsequent to his capture, Tadori was safely returned to Bug City. According to Choi Yun-joo, the zoo owner, the adventurous ostrich was in stable condition upon his return.

Choi revealed that Tadori’s only companion, a female ostrich named Tasooni, had passed away roughly a month ago, suggesting that this loss might have triggered Tadori’s daring escape.

The incident has since sparked a discussion on the living conditions of animals in captivity. The zoo authorities have assured the public that they are taking measures to improve the animals’ habitat and prevent such incidents in the future.
