Benji Madden and Cameron Diaz, who tied the knot in the early days of 2015, are ecstatic to announce the birth of their baby boy, Cardinal. The couple first shared the heartwarming news with their followers on Instagram last Friday.
“We are overjoyed to announce the birth of our son, Cardinal Madden. He is truly magnificent, and we are all thrilled he has joined us! For the sake of our children’s safety and privacy, we won’t be sharing any photos- but rest assured, he’s a cutie! We are awash with gratitude and blessings. Sending an abundance of love from our family to yours. Best wishes and Good Afternoon!!” the couple expressed in a touching Instagram post.
Diaz and Madden now have two children together, their first child being a daughter named Raddix, who was born on December 30, 2019.

Diaz has openly shared her experiences and insights about motherhood in the past. During an episode of the GOOP podcast, she expressed how becoming a mother had revolutionized her perspective on aging.
“My outlook on aging has completely transformed. I’m excited. I’ve still got 50 or 60 years to go — I want to live to be 110, especially now that I have a young child. I think you have this amazing moment in your 40s where you come to appreciate who your parents are, and I want to experience that moment with her — be present with her in her 40s,” Diaz stated.
In a discussion with Jimmy Fallon on his popular late-night talk show, Diaz praised Madden’s skills as a father. She described him as the “best dad” and shared her admiration for his ability to balance his parenting duties and professional commitments.
“He’s like, Benj at home, being the best dad ever and managing all of his businesses, and then he just gets up there and he’s like, ‘Yeah, all right, pyro! Pfft,” Diaz said, referring to Madden’s on-stage persona.
Diaz further revealed that Madden has a knack for creating catchy children’s songs, a talent that she finds endearing and admirable.
“He makes up — he has, honestly, I’m like, ‘Why don’t we just…you need to do a kids’ album,’ because he has the best songs,” the actress shared.
