Luke Bryan Opens Up About Unusual Gift He Gave To Katy Perry's Baby

Katy Perry has been showered with well wishes from fellow stars since she welcomed her daughter, Daisy Dove, in August. And like many new moms, she’s received her share of questionable gifts, too. Appearing on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Wednesday, country singer Luke Bryan confirmed reports that he’d sent his fellow “American Idol” judge a Daisy-brand BB gun as a present. “It just seemed to be the right gift,” said Bryan, who is raising five children with his wife, Caroline Boyer. Still, the Georgia native doesn’t really expect Perry or her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, to allow their 8-month-old to use the rifle, even when she gets older. “No, that’ll never see the light of day,” he said. “Maybe under lock and key.” Catch Luke Bryan’s interview with Jimmy Kimmel below. 'American Idol': Katharine McPhee Joins Fan Favorite Willie Spence for Powerhouse Duet — Watch!

Sunday's American Idol was jam packed with big performances, memorable moments and celeb guests. However, it was Katharine McPhee's duet with one of the show's frontrunners that stole the spotlight. Willie Spence grabbed the judges attention in a big way when he wowed them during his rehearsal, and said his career goal was to win a GRAMMY within the next five years -- an undeniably ambitious goal, but one that all the judges felt was legitimately possible. Sunday's Idol saw 12 of the Top 24 perform twice each -- one solo performance and one star-studded duet -- which meant there wasn't a whole lot of time to leave a lasting impression. The fast pace of the episode, however, came to a halt with Spence and McPhee's powerhouse duet, as it demanded attention. Together, the pair performed a next...

'American Idol': See Top 24 Singers Who Impressed Katy Perry, Lionel Richie & Luke Bryan Enough to Move On

American Idol is really starting to narrow the field. Monday's new episode saw the judges round out their choices for the Top 24. Starting the Showstopper round with 64 contestants, the judges -- including Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan -- had the unenviable task of eliminating 40 hopefuls after a string of impressive performances. Some of the choices were no-brainers, with the Idol hopefuls bringing down the house with numbers that were truly mind-blowing -- like Willie Spence's rendition of "I Was Here" by Beyoncé and Colin Jamieson's exciting rock performance with a cover of Fall Out Boy's "Sugar, We're Goin Down."However, this season's big elimination was also met with a lot of divisive criticism from fans, who felt the judges cut performers who really deserved a chance to mo...
