A good Samaritan saves a minor from attack, suspect arrested

Samaritan

HOUSTON — A man who allegedly tried to sexually assault a 15-year-old girl as she got off a Metro bus on Houston’s east side is now behind bars.

The girl got away with it, but her desperate cries for help reached the ears of a good Samaritan, apparently a teacher, who didn’t hesitate to confront the suspect at gunpoint.

This sexual assault suspect has been arrested! A heroic act by a Good Samaritan heard the girl in distress & scared the attacker off by pointing a gun at him. Thank you for doing the right thing – you save her life & potentially many others. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 https://t.co/gSE8UdDSSa

The incidents happened on July 28 on Woodforest Boulevard between Normandy and Uvalde Roads.

The man apparently hit the teen and knocked her to the ground, but the teacher who saved the minor said she knew exactly what to do when it came to protecting a child and without hesitation confronted the man who fled.

The search continued for several days. Crime Stoppers offered a $5,000 reward for anyone who helps capture him.

This Wednesday they reported through the social network X that the suspect had been arrested.
