Outlander, which tells the story of Claire’s trip to the past and her romance with Scotsman Jamie Fraser, has been one of the biggest hits on television in recent years. The series is preparing for its seventh season and since there is still a long way to go, fans can enjoy other historical dramas on Netflix.

The Last Czars
A fascinating six-part documentary series, The Last Czarsfollows the life of Nicholas II, the last tsar of the Romanov dynasty, from his rise to power in 1894 to his tragic assassination in 1918. The fascinating look at Robert Jack to Russian history through the work allows us to see Nicholas II as a monarch, as well as a loving husband and father. Alias Grace
Based on Margaret Atwood’s 1996 novel of the same name, Alias Grace is the fictional story of the 1843 murder of Thomas Kinnear and Nancy Montgomery at the hands of their servants Grace Marks and James McDermott, and Grace is the protagonist of the television series. Starring Sarah GadonAlias Grace unfolds in two parts: an investigation by psychiatrist Dr. Simon Jordan (Edward Holcroft), to whom Grace tells her story, and flashbacks of Grace’s upbringing and the events leading up to the murder.
Throughout Alias Graceyou don’t know if Grace is telling the truth or manipulating her story to gain Jordan’s favor, and you constantly wonder if she’s guilty. The series Alias Grace is a fantastic critique of the social problems of the 19th century, and is a gripping series with six episodes and all in Netflix.
