House Of The Dragon: The second season will adapt the most controversial of the Targaryens

After confirming the end of filming for the second season of House of the Dragon, viewers are excited about its release date and the stories it will bring. In fact, according to the latest reports, they have revealed that there will be a controversial adaptation of the Targaryens.

The second season of “House of the Dragon” promises even more disgusting violence, and nothing is out of place. The author of the books George R.R. Martin demonstrated it in the emblematic book “Fire and Blood”, on which the series of HBO. This 700-page tome contains the worst stories of the Civil War between the Greens and the Blacks of the Targaryen family, including the brutal revenge after the death of Rhaenyra Targaryen’s son (Emma D’Arcy), Lucerys (Elliot Grihault).

In the book, this death began the saga of Blood and Cheese, the assassins that Daemon (Matt Smith) sends against the Greens after the death of Lucerys and who will be seen in the second season. In an interview with Variety, the screenwriter of “House of the Dragon“, Sarah Hess, hinted that this plot point will materialize in the next installment and that it will leave everyone with their mouths open.

“We’re writing the season two finale,” Sarah Hess said. “I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Judging by the first season, Old Testament-style revenge is the order of the day for the Targaryens. After Aemond (Leo Ashton) lose an eye in a fight, Alicia (Olivia Cooke) demands the same treatment of Lucerys. Although it does not happen at that moment, years later her wish is fulfilled when Vhagar kills Lucerys and her dragon at the end of the first installment.

Now, if all goes according to plan in the second season of Fire and Blood, Daemon will utter the most famous line in the book. “An eye for an eye, a son for a son.” In retaliation, he sends two cruel assassins to kill Aegon’s son (Tom Glynn-Carney). Blood and Cheese infiltrate Helaena’s chambers (Phia Saban) and offer him to choose which of his children should die.

She chooses her two-year-old son, Meilor, who still doesn’t realize what is happening. In her place, Sangre beheads Jayheiris, the eldest of her children, in front of her mother. This becomes the catalyst for the Dance of Dragons to heat up even more between the two sides of the family.

On the other hand, the photos that have come to light show Alicent (Olivia Cooke) and Helaena sitting in a funeral procession as they carry the body of young Jayheiris through the streets of the city. In an additional video clip, the narrator states: how the murder occurs: “It is the work of the cruel Rhaenyra!” As you can see from the little information we have so far, the second season has only fanned the flames of the fans.
