True Detective Season 4: Release date, trailer and what to expect from the drama

HBO has unveiled a new trailer for its crime series True Detective, confirming the release date of its fourth season and what all viewers can expect.

After the premiere of the third season of True Detective In 2019, the future of the series HBO has been uncertain for some time, but a new installment is now in the works. The new season, subtitled Nightscape, will feature Jodie Foster and Kali Reis as detectives investigating a grisly murder in Alaska. In fact, the premiere date for the fourth season has been revealed, as well as an exciting new trailer for the hit series.

True Detective Season 4: The new installment will bring big surprises on January 14, 2023

Today, Max (before HBO Max) has published a new trailer for the next season and has revealed that the release date of the fourth season of True Detective It is set for January 14, 2024. In addition to the release date, the trailer promises that a truly gruesome murder case will be solved in the coming episodes.

Following the tradition of True Detective, two opposing detectives team up to investigate a case, and the protagonists are forced to overcome their differences and personal demons to solve the mystery they face. However, the latest trailer reveals that the new season could very well be the darkest and most disturbing.

In addition to the trailer being literally gloomy due to Alaska’s winter conditions, it also reveals that the case Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis) is particularly brutal. Eight people have disappeared from the research station, and at least five of them have been found dead trapped in a patch of ice. Interestingly, the Carcosa spiral symbol, which appeared frequently in the first series of True Detective, appears several times in the trailer, suggesting a connection between the two cases.

The trailer focuses a lot on the ritualistic nature of the case and the possible connection to religion, and it appears that Narvarro has experienced events in her past that connect her to the case. Although the series has never had many jump scares, there are several in the trailer for the fourth season of True Detectivesuggesting that they will not be missing in future episodes.

Like the previous seasons, the fourth season of True Detective will begin on January 14, 2024 and will have eight episodes. Which means that every Sunday HBO Max will broadcast each of the episodes to surprise all viewers with his great stories of mystery and crime.
