Actor who played young Uhtred in The Last Kingdom joins House of the Dragon

The Last Kingdom and House of the Dragon are two successful historical dramas that have garnered enviable audience levels for any television production. While the first came to an end more than a year ago on Netflix, the other will arrive with season 2 on HBO in 2024 and will present an important character played by the actor who gave life to young Uhtred.

It’s been more than eight years since Tom Taylor played young Uhtred of Bebbanburg in the pilot episode of The Last Kingdom. Now, the 22-year-old star will be part of the cast of season 2 of the HBO fantasy drama, House of the Dragon, to play a key character in the upcoming stories that will focus on the Civil War known as the Dance of the Dragons.

The Last Kingdom’s Tom Taylor Joins House of the Dragon Season 2 as Lord Cregan Stark

Although nothing has been officially confirmed by HBO, the report shared on Twitter this week indicates that Tom Taylor will play one of the members of House Stark. The former star of The Last Kingdom will immerse himself in the plot as young Lord Cregan Stark, who must swear allegiance to Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) while becoming friends with his son and having an important participation in the wars that are to come.

If House of the Dragon season 2 follows the story of the books George R.R. MartinFire and blood‘, Rhaenyra Targaryen will send her son Jacaerys Velaryon, also known as Jace (Harry Collett) north to win great lords and ladies to his cause, but he will go first to the Eyrie in the Vale, where he will meet Lady Jeyne Arryn. After that, he heads to Winterfell (Winterfell) to meet with the young Lord Cregan Stark, who is approximately his age.
