The first lady tests positive for the third time for COVID-19; president biden is fine

WASHIINGTON, DC – First Lady Jill Biden tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday and, after the result was known, President Joe Biden was tested, which showed no signs of contagion.

“The president tested negative,” Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House press secretary, said in a statement.

He added that President Biden will be tested regularly throughout the week and monitored for any symptoms he may be feeling.

In August 2022, the first lady tested positive for a second infection, days after the president had tested positive.

On that occasion, Jill Biden was prescribed the antiviral drug Paxlovid and isolated at her Kiawah Island vacation home for five days before receiving negative results from two consecutive COVID-19 tests, spokeswoman Elizabeth Alexander reported at the time.
