“The spin-off represents a great opportunity to deepen our strategic agenda, maintaining the same corporate governance and financial discipline that characterizes us. The goal is to generate increased opportunities for specialized solutions to accelerate our growth in a profitable manner.”, said Armando de la Peña, general director of Axtel.

Álvaro Fernández Garza, general director of Alfa, specified that the distribution of shares of Controladora Axtel marks an important milestone, since becomes the second company in the conglomerate to be fully independent.

“At the same time, Alfa further simplifies its corporate structure and its shareholders obtain greater autonomy through direct equity positions in Alfa, Nemak and soon Controladora Axtel,” he said.

Similarly, it was revealed that Alfa owned 53.91% of the shares of Axtel and transferred to Controladora Axtel all of its participation. Its listing key on the Stock Exchange will be CTAXTEL.
