“Nuclear energy is clean, even Europe has defined it, together with gas, a form of energy that is fundamental for the ecological transition”: said Alessandro Cattaneo to the microphones of Fanpage.it, commenting on the green light to his motion.
The return to nuclear it is an increasingly concrete hypothesis. The House approved a motion, upon first signing Alexander Cattaneo, which commits the government to consider including atomic energy among clean sources. “I am very proud that today my first signature approved a motion on nuclear energy, which in some way is back on Italy’s agenda. Of the large industrialized countries of the G20 we are the only one that does not have civilian nuclear power and this is probably a big mistake. At least we think so“, said the deputy of Forza Italia in an interview with Fanpage.it.
The motion commits the government to “evaluate the opportunity to include nuclear power as an alternative and clean source for the production of energy in the national energy mix“. For Cattaneo, however, the goal is clear: “We also point the way: it would be wrong to imagine starting today a path to have traditional nuclear power, but now Italy must go back to being a leader in research and in new models of small-scale nuclear energy generators, which are more versatile, more cheaper and safer“.
To the microphones of Fanpage.it, the blue deputy underlined that Italy can once again become a leader in research in this area: “Italy already was and must return as a great power in the field of nuclear energy starting from research and for this reason we will invest important resourcesthe. Even those of Re-power Eu, one more tool that comes from Europe“.
Girelli (Pd): “We are proud of Italian excellence, but in our fields there are exploited migrants”
Cattaneo then concluded: “Nuclear energy is cleandoes not emit CO2 and Europe has also defined it, together with gas, a form of energy essential for the ecological transition“.
