The WWDC 2023 developer conference has already been confirmed, but we have not been able to have even 24 quiet hours as the rumors are already beginning to derail the agenda. While Gurman stated very recently that it would be at this WWDC where we would finally see the Reality Pro viewer, now Kuo raises doubts on the table.

The analyst has commented in a tweet on the alleged decision that Apple would have made to take the mass production of these Reality Pro towards the end of the third quarter of 2023, more towards September and not in July as initially planned. And that can lead to new delays in the agenda.

More doubts, more price and fewer units available

The reasons for this change in dates would reside in internal doubts of the company, which seeks to have “an iPhone moment” with the Reality Pro and that it is not entirely clear if something like this will be achieved. Other sources have already spoken about these doubts, which have caused discrepancies even among managers.

The main consequence, according to Kuo, is that we might not get to see the glasses at WWDC 2023. And here comes the contradiction, because Gurman says that we will see them on June 5. We have a discrepancy.

We can do little, but I would bet on an announcement during June and in any case a delay in the final launch. The design of the invitation to WWDC 2023 imitates the reflection of the lenses of a virtual reality viewerand the person in charge of Apple Music has said in your private instagram that it’s going to be “probably his biggest event” tying that to a story in which he simply shows the sunglasses emoji. Too suspicious to ignore:

Kuo also lowers his expectations for unit production: of the 500,000 he expected, he believes that we will see only 200,000 or 300,000, and the price can even exceed $4,000. From a niche product to an almost exclusive product for a few enthusiasts and companies.

Apple changes its plans with iOS 17. And it is very good news

The good news? That there are only 67 days left for the doubts they clear in the already confirmed keynote June 5. At Applesfera, of course, we will offer you a live follow-up with all the details of the event and the news that is coming out.

In Applesphere | I attended the previous ones and I am convinced that this WWDC23 will be much more than Apple Reality Pro or iOS 17
