A hiker died in an accident on the Rigi on Sunday. The accident happened on a steep slope at the foot of the Rigi, reports the “Bote der Urschweiz”. Two people were walking in the municipality of Arth when a stone came loose. This captured a man who was fatally injured.
The Arth fire brigade secured the scene of the accident. The loose stone was secured. Those accompanying the victim were not injured. She is receiving psychological care. The public prosecutor’s office of the canton of Zug has started investigations into the incident.
