Two men attacked and injured in Neuruppin

Two men were beaten up by unknown persons in Neuruppin (Ostprignitz-Ruppin). According to the police, the 27-year-old and his 42-year-old companion were traveling in the Siechenstrasse area on Saturday evening when they were attacked by two previously unknown perpetrators. There were several punches and kicks, the police said on Sunday. The attackers fled after passersby stepped in. Both men were injured and taken to a hospital. The investigations into the background of the crime and the identification of the attackers continued, it said. Police are appealing for information from witnesses to the incident.
