BACALAR, Quintana Roo.- After more than 12 hours that it was raised by a criminal group, the Secretary of Public Security of Quintana Roo announced that the channel 10 journalist, Jimmy Palomo, was located alive.
The authorities did not give more details about the location of the reporter who covers the red note, since the announcement was made through social networks.
“Derived from the operation implemented to search and locate people, it is reported that she was found alive, the last person who was missing in Bacalar. This person is safe, like the two people located yesterday. The corresponding investigations will continue to ascertain the facts,” the message said.
The ‘levantón’ to Jimmy Palomo and his companions
The reporter for channel 10 of Chetumal, Jimmy Palomo, was “raised” by a criminal group on Saturday afternoon.
It was revealed that Rudy Alcocer, former Bacalar Senior Officer, and fellow reporter Soraida Aguilar were traveling with the journalist.
It was learned about the disappearance of the three people after the truck in which they were traveling, a black pick-up truck, was found on Saturday in the middle of the Miguel Alemán – Río Verde highway.
The three people had attended the 40th anniversary celebrations of the Miguel Alemán community, where a parade was held.
The Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office implemented a search operation throughout the southern part of the state, to find the whereabouts of the channel 10 journalist, who is presumed to have been “raised” by members of the Caborca Cartel.
