(Then24.com).- Through a campaign led by personnel from the Alajuela Deputy Prosecutor’s Officewas achieved collect the materials with which more than 25 students of the community of Río Segundo de Alajuela they will have the opportunity to use in their school year.
The initiative arose because on February 13, in the Los Huevitos neighborhood, a fire occurredwhich caused many families will be affected by the situation, losing property from their homes and school supplies of the kids.
In this way, the Prosecutor’s staff joined forces to collect notebooks, pencils, pilots, scissors, salveques and other essential implements for the students of the place.
María José Montero Alfaro, a judicial technician from Alajuela, indicated that the staff expressed solidarity and made their contribution to bring peace of mind to these boys and girls who lost everything.
“We organize ourselves, because we saw the need to collaborate and support in something so essential, so that these boys and girls can continue with their studies. It was very gratifying to see their smiles when they received the school supplies,” she commented.
On March 6, the donation of the proceeds was made. This activity was carried out through a Christian Church in the area, which was in charge of delivering the school packages to the minors of the affected place.
