In Grodno, employees of the special unit of the State Security Committee of Belarus shot dead a foreign citizen. He allegedly offered armed resistance “using automatic weapons and detonating live grenades”.
The KGB did not disclose the name and citizenship of the victim. It is only specified that he died on Kurchatov Street. Belarusian telegram channels, writes “Zerkalo” reported that on March 19, detentions took place on this street, which were preceded by shooting and explosions.
According to the KGB, special measures were taken in the city to suppress the activities of persons “infiltrating the territory of the Republic of Belarus with the aim of committing a terrorist act.” A criminal case has been initiated. Which article is not specified.
