Successes for Gmunden and Wels in the BSL placement round

The two Upper Austrian clubs Swans Gmunden and Flyers Wels won their duels with Lower Austrian clubs in the placement round of the win2day Basketball Super League (BSL) on Sunday thanks to a good finish.

The Gmundner prevailed against SKN St. Pölten with 85:73, the Welser defeated the Klosterneuburg Dukes with 87:79.

The second in the table from Gmunden had a hard time against St. Pölten, was nine points behind and was only able to prevail in the final quarter.

Wels was also behind (-14 in the 23rd minute), came back with an 11:0 run and took third place in the table with a strong final sprint.
