Second team sends Panama to Argentina

Next Thursday’s match between the Argentine team and Panama will have little appeal as far as the game is concerned. And not only because it will be a friendly, with a great difference in hierarchy, but also because the Canalero team will field a team with a majority of substitutes.

The decision not to take the Panamanian A team to the friendly against the current world champion was made by the coach of the team, Thomas Chriantiansen.

Fepafut revealed the list of 20 players, which includes six who are active in foreign teams and 14 from the Panamanian Soccer League (LPF). For this match, the usual starters who competed in the past World Cup qualifiers towards Qatar 2022 will not be present.

Among the Panamanian players called up who are active abroad, Martín Morán, from Bulgaria’s FK Etar VT, stands out on the list; Iván Anderson, of the Venezuelan Monagas; Richard Peralta, from Deportivo La Guaira, Cristian Quintero, from La Luz from Uruguay, Jiovany Ramos, from Deportivo Táchira and Alfredo Stephens, who plays for the Puerto Cabello Academy in Venezuela.
