The author of the Facebook post gives a hint in the comments: “First it tastes sweet and then it’s hot.” Incidentally, the mystery has not yet been solved. But: If you compare the different answer options, then the sugar root looks the most similar to the picture on Facebook. This was also the most commonly suspected online. A user even writes: “It’s definitely a sugar root. I recently bought one at the market.” According to her, you can eat them without peeling them—raw or cooked.
