Following the alert issued by the Municipality of Punta Hermosa, residents of the district, mainly in the North Beach and Central Beach areas, evacuated from their homes due to the arrival of a possible avalanche after the rupture of a natural water reservoir.

The National Emergency Operations Center (COEN) indicated that this event is being monitored.
Citizens were urged to move and be safe in the high areas before the possible impact.
It should be noted that the district south of Lima is one of the most affected by the rainyactivation of ravines and mudslides registered in recent days in the capital, especially the one on Tuesday, March 14.
