Motorcycles produce 4 deaths per day in Argentina

From “Thinking Health”, a website dedicated exclusively to statistics and good health practices, they report that traffic accidents are positioned within the top 5 causes of deaths in the country.

The list places first diseases of the heart and circulatory systemsecond to tumors and cancersin third at respiratory diseasesin fourth at traffic accidents and violencewhile the infections and parasites They are in fifth place.

Among the main causes of road accidents are alcohol consumption and cell phone use. Other determining factors is the lack of security elements, be it lights, refractory vest and helmet.

According to data provided by the National Road Safety Agency, 75% of the cases were men under 35 years of age. 52% of accidents occur on the roads, 20% on the streets and 14% on the avenues.

The fatalities according to the route were:

  • 40% of motorcycle occupants
  • 27% of cars
  • 10% pedestrian
  • 8% vans
  • 4% of cyclists
  • 3% cargo carriers
