Conductor, musician and writer Martim Sousa Tavares and the biochemical engineer Ana Ribeiro they’ve been together for two years and have lived their relationship with the certainty of someone who knows what he wants. “Our relationship is absolutely solid and that provides a very stable center for the rest of life, that is, when a person puts this chapter of his life in order, he has very good professional and intellectual stability. Ana helps me leave work out of the house, which didn’t happen when I lived alone. Having a family nucleus, even if it’s just the two of us, helps to put things in their place and that’s very good. Suddenly I watch a lot of series and my habits have changed. I am still a person with an intellectual profession, who is always writing, studying and composing, but I gained this more earthy side that I am enjoying immensely”, told us the young maestro at the premiere of the piece O Misanthrope, text by Moliere which he adapted in partnership with Hugo van der Ding.

With such different professions, it has not been difficult for them to find harmony: “Sometimes we are working at the same desk and I have sheet music and she has documents full of equations that are absolutely incomprehensible to me. It’s really cool to see how our two worlds intersect and how we’re managing to balance everything in such an interesting way”, she concluded.
