RBC: Roman Kostomarov’s condition has improved markedly
The condition of the Olympic champion in ice dancing Roman Kostomarov has improved markedly in recent days. It became known RBC.

On March 17, new details about the operations performed on Kostomarov appeared. “First, both feet were amputated to Kostomarov, then the lower legs of both legs. They also amputated the entire hand,” said one MK source. Another source said that the doctors have not yet decided on the operation on the second arm of the athlete.
Earlier, a Match TV source said that the 46-year-old athlete was conscious, and he had a tracheal tube removed (a catheter to maintain breathing – approx. “Lenta.ru”). The source of Izvestia said that the doctors changed the treatment regimen for Kostomarov and hope to soon restore the blood supply to the hands.
Kostomarov was hospitalized on 10 January. He was diagnosed with left-sided pneumonia in combination with influenza B.
