In the Leningrad region, a schoolboy died in a warehouse of an agricultural enterprise

ST. PETERSBURG, March 19. /TASS/. In the Volosovsky district of the Leningrad region, a 10-year-old schoolboy died after he was crushed by a bag of grain at the warehouse of a local breeding plant, the press service of the investigative department of the Russian Investigative Committee for the region reported on Sunday.

“The Investigation Department for the Volosovsky District initiated a criminal case on the death of a minor born in 2012 on the grounds of a crime under part 1 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Causing death by negligence,” the report says.

As the investigators established, on the afternoon of March 18, the child, together with two peers, made his way to the warehouse of the Leninsky Put breeding plant in the village of Ushchevitsy. During the game, the boy made a hole in a bag of grain, it began to spill out, and as a result, the bag located above fell on the schoolboy, crushing him with his weight. The child died from his injuries in the ambulance.

The course of the investigation of the criminal case was put under control in the prosecutor’s office of the Volosovsky district.
