CSKA defeated Lokomotiv 3-2 in the second quarterfinal match of the KHL playoffs

CSKA Moscow snatched victory from Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the second quarterfinal playoff match of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.

The meeting was held in Moscow and ended with the score 3:2. By the middle of the second period of the game, the guests were leading 2-0 thanks to goals from Denis Alekseev and Maxim Berezkin, but then the hosts scored twice in less than one minute. Maxim Mamin and Darren Dietz excelled. In the third period, Mikhail Grigorenko scored the winning goal.

In the first match of the 1/4 finals of the Gagarin Cup, the Moscow army team beat Lokomotiv 2:0 dry. All goals were scored in the third period.

The score in the series up to four wins was 2-0 in favor of CSKA. The teams will play the next match on March 21 in Yaroslavl.

CSKA is the current owner of the Gagarin Cup. Last season, in the final series, the army team turned out to be stronger than Metallurg Magnitogorsk.
