Belarra asks the PSOE not to "tilt" before Joan Clos and Juan Roig and approve more social reforms

The Minister of Social Rights and Secretary General of Podemos, Ione Belarra, said this Sunday that Vox’s motion of no confidence against the Government is “a opportunity for the PSOE to look to the left again” and towards the parliamentary majority of the investiture, as well as to demonstrate “with facts” that the Executive “does not bow down to the powerful”.

This has been expressed in statements to journalists and has reiterated that the motion of no confidence raised by Santiago Abascal’s party is “doomed to failure” and is a “fake”.

“We think that it is an opportunity for the PSOE to once again look to the left, to the majority of the investiture, which, by the way, is what has allowed us to achieve all those advances that the PSOE is now showing off in the campaign, like the increases in the minimum wage, the labor reform or the pension reform“, has underlined.

Belarra has added that, with that look “to the left” on the part of the PSOE, the Government could demonstrate that “does not bow down to Joan Clos approving a housing law once and for all” nor “before Juan Roig, limiting that shopping cart”.

The minister has not given details about who will intervene on behalf of the Government and has once again asked that women be the ones to intervene during the sessionboth within the Executive and by the parliamentary groups, to stand up to the “machismo” of Vox.
