Sold out tickets, resale and exorbitant prices: Robert Smith, singer of The Cure, exploded against Ticketmaster

Robert Smith, lead singer of The Cure It showed itself annoying on their social networks due to the attitude of the ticket sales platform ticket master for their shows in the United States in the coming months. The musician’s claim was echoed by his fans, who complained on the networks about the rates and taxes applied to ticket prices that even reached double or triple.

Given the number of claims, the musician contacted the platform and after what he considered “a long conversation”, they reached an agreement: “ticket master accepted that the commissions they charged are too high, and therefore, in a gesture of goodwill, offered a $10 refund for each (low-priced) ticket purchased with a verified fan account,” Smith explained in his account.

The message was celebrated by his fans. Although, this was not the only achievement of the band’s vocalist. In addition to this refund, the platform promised to lower ticket costs in future shows.

The historic British band “The Cure” announced a couple of days ago that it will start a tour of at least 30 concerts for USAwith presentations beginning next May 10 in New Orleans and end the July 1 in Florida.

He added that: “We were convinced that Ticketmaster’s ideas could help us fight scalping. We didn’t agree with the ‘dynamic pricing’/’price hike’/’platinum tickets’ thing, because it’s in itself a bit of a scam… That’s a separate conversation!“.

Tickets for many of his recitals are already sold out and on resale, an audience for the concert is sold at 300 dollars.
