A 3-year-old girl was run over and crushed by a gate during an educational field trip to the farm. The little girl was immediately transported to the hospital. Parents’ wrath: “We’ll sue.”

The 3-year-old girl who ended up in the emergency room of the Sant’Orsola hospital in Bologna was overwhelmed by another gate one meter and 60. An accident that occurred last Saturday morning during a trip to the Fattoria Urbana, a structure located in the Bolognese countryside and connected to the Arci club. The little girl was immediately transported to the hospital where she was entrusted to the doctors on duty.
The police are now investigating the incident and were called to intervene after the parents of the little girl reported the incident. “It could have been one tragedy – the words of the child’s father, Giulio Cristofori, reported by Il resto del Carlino – and luckily it was not. It happened while they were taking her to feed a cow. That railing was obviously not fixed and the whole context was shabby, there was also a sign of work in progress, so it seems to me that there is a negligence profile of the structure”.
The man recounted the dynamics of the incident, explaining that the girl was in the company of other children when, as part of training activities organized by the team working for the facility, she was accompanied to feed a cow. “I had turned around for a moment – he says – then I saw my daughter suddenly crushed. I want to emphasize this: it must never happen again, these facilities visited by children must ensure the highest safety standards. And if it had been heavier, the canceled one?”.
The little girl’s family has announced that they will take action to “both criminally and civilly”. The little girl was treated in the hospital where she underwent tests that found numerous traumas, especially to the head and back where she was hit by the heavy gate. When questioned, the managers of the farm said they were sorry for the incident and made it known that the girl at that moment “wasn’t feeding any of the animals, but she was awaiting instructions”.
