Line 1, Piscinola-Dante section limited due to electrical failure at the switch

Failure of a switch on Line 1 of the Naples Metro: limited section, trains traveling only between the Piscinola and Dante stations.

Limited route in the afternoon today, Saturday 18 March, for the metro of Line 1 of Naples: the trains currently travel only on the Piscinola-Dante section. According to what is learned, the cause of the disservice would have been an electrical problem on the contact line on the Garibaldi-Brin section: the failure would prevent the switch, what is commonly referred to as the “switch”, from reversing the train’s direction.

For the moment, the ANM, which manages the line, has not released official communications (the update service via social channels is not active on Saturday and Sunday, it will resume on Monday morning).
