FOOTBALL – These are unusual images during a professional football game. This Saturday, March 18 at the Stadium, the Ligue 1 Toulouse-Lille match was interrupted for 11 minutes due to a violent hailstorm.

This long stoppage of play took place in the first period, when the score was 0-0. This did not prevent the Toulouse supporters from giving voice, as seen in the Prime Video Sport images below.

The 22 players and the referee, Mr. Ben El Hadj, had quickly taken shelter in the corridors of the stadium.

On the field, once the match was able to resume, it was Lille who ended up winning, 2-0, after goals from Alexsandro and Bayo at the end of the second period.

After two games without a win away – a loss in Paris (4-3) and a draw in Lens (1-1) – the Northerners resumed their march forward to temporarily dislodge Rennes from fifth place.

Lille, which has lost only one of its last eight meetings, now has a two-point lead over the Bretons who will travel to Paris on Sunday.
