the brazilian Anderson Silvaconsidered one of the great fighters of MMA of all time, will be exalted in the Hall of Fame of UFC this summer, as part of the class of 2023.
The promoter made the announcement during the broadcast of UFC 286. Silva will enter the Hall as part of the “pioneer wing”. Many think that “The Spider” is the best fighter in the UFC and, at least, he is on a very short list of the best of all time.
Silva (34-11; 17-7 in UFC) is a former middleweight champion who had a UFC-record reign of 2,457 days and 16 consecutive wins, the longest winning streak in the promotion’s history. Silva had 10 middleweight title defenses, second all-time to Jon Jones and demetrius johnson (eleven).

“Anderson Silva is one of the greatest athletes of all time”said the president of the UFC, Dana Whiteit’s a statement.
“Anderson’s 16-fight winning streak in the UFC, 10 successful title defenses and nearly seven years as middleweight champion was one of the most remarkable things we’ve ever seen in professional sports.
“He was an absolute artist inside the Octagon, and he will continue to be. It will be an honor to induct him into the UFC Hall of Fame this summer.”commented the head honcho of the mixed martial arts company.
