Helicopters in action - two minibuses collided on A5 - ten injured

A traffic accident on the A5 bypass Drasenhofen (Mistelbach district) injured ten people on Saturday morning. According to the Lower Austrian Red Cross, two minibuses collided. Accordingly, five people suffered serious injuries, five other inmates minor injuries.

The injured were taken to nearby hospitals in Austria and in the neighboring Czech Republic. Two ambulance helicopters were requested. According to Red Cross spokeswoman Sonja Kellner, the Red Cross called for five ambulances and an ambulance. The district operations manager was also on the spot. Two emergency helicopters and rescue workers from the neighboring Czech Republic were also requested. The North/Weinviertel Autobahn (A5) was temporarily closed. A traffic jam formed and a local detour was set up.
