A 61-year-old man has had to be hospitalized after suffering an incomplete drowning on Almáciga beach, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.

The event occurred around 2:25 p.m., when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert stating that a person was in trouble at sea on the aforementioned beach.

A surfer and other people who were in the area managed to bring the affected person ashore. Members of the Forest Unit and Local Police paid first attention to the bather.

He was then assisted by SUC personnel and transferred in a basic life support ambulance to the Nuestra Sra. de Candelaria University Hospital, presenting moderate hypothermia and symptoms of incomplete drowning, except for complications.
