Handisports: Qualification acquired for the Paralympic Games

Malian athletes performed well at the Marrakech Grand Prix. At the end of this International Meeting, Mali won 5 medals including one in gold.

According to information given by the National Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, Malian athletes have had their fill, with a harvest of 5 medals for 4 competitors. They are Samba Coulibaly (one medal in Gold and another in Silver), Korotoumou Coulibaly (Silver), Mariam Coulibaly (Bronze) and Youssouf Coulibaly (Bronze). The same source indicates that these results are also synonymous with qualification for the World ParaAthletic World Championship in Paris scheduled for July 2023 and the Paralympic Games in Paris 2024. “The Malian Handisport also achieved a record performance in Morocco. Youssouf Coulibaly and Samba Coulibaly in the 100 meters T/13”; Mariam Coulibaly in the women’s F/56m javelin throw; Korotoumou Coulibaly in Discus Throw and Javelin Throw Woman F/55 m”, reveals the DNSEP.
