Gwyneth Paltrow : son régime alimentaire scandalise les internautes

It has been several years since Gwyneth Paltrow converted into the lifestyle and well-being business. She even put her acting career on hold to better devote herself to her site, goopwhich has since become a real successful business. However, the products that can be found online have sometimes been singled out, either for their exorbitant price or because they were surprising. Like those singular scented candles that had caused a lot of talk.

A few months ago, Gwyneth Paltrow had been entitled to strong criticism after having evoked his diet during the 2020 health crisis:

I also think nine months of quarantine with pasta, cakes and booze seven days a week probably didn’t help. So I’ve been following a healthy eating routine and I’ve been quitting drinking for a few months now… It always helps a lot with anything going on in the body.

She then revealed that she was following a sugar-free and alcohol-free diet, punctuated by sauna sessions. And we have to believe that she has not changed her habits.

Frugal meals

Recently guest on the podcast The Art of Being WellGwyneth Paltrow once again described her wellness routine, and detailed the meals of her day:

I have dinner very early in the evening and I practice intermittent fasting. (…) In the morning, I take something that is not going to cause my blood sugar to explode, so I drink coffee. At noon, I really like to drink soups. I eat a lot of bone broth for lunch.

She then went on to talk about the need to exercise a minimum before a last meal:

I try to move for at least an hour so I walk, I do Pilates or the program of Tracy Anderson (the fitness guru in the United States, editor’s note). Then I go into my infrared sauna for 30 minutes. And for dinner, I try to stick to the paleo diet, so lots of vegetables. It is very important for me to maintain my detox diet.

A very low caloric intake when you know that health professionals recommend consuming at least 2000 calories per day. Also, the statements of Chris Martin’s ex-wife provoked a real outcry which earned him strong criticism.

“It’s an eating disorder”

Many Internet users condemned Gwyneth Paltrow’s comments, convinced that she suffered from eating disorder and minimize its consequences. We can thus read on social networks by a Twitter user:

All the bone broth and intermittent fasting in the world won’t save Gwyneth Paltrow.

Another also said:

Just so we’re clear, Gwyneth Paltrow is describing an eating disorder, not a wellness routine.

What is described in this video is an eating disorder. It’s dangerous. It’s fatal. Much more than being overweight will ever be. We expect more from people who have influence on social networks.

Given the many negative comments she has read, Gwyneth Paltrow decided to speak on Instagram and explained that her diet was partly due to the fact that she had contracted Covid-19 and that she was still suffering from the symptoms:

The way it manifests for me comes down to very high levels of inflammation over time. I worked with Dr. Cole to really focus on foods that aren’t inflammatory… Lots of vegetables, cooked vegetables, all kinds of protein, healthy carbs… And it works really well.

She said, before clarifying that her diet was developed based on “personal medical results and extensive testing” and should not be “regarded as advice to others”.

Finally, Gwyneth Paltrow admitted that she allowed herself a few small deviations:

This is really what worked for me and it was very powerful and very positive. That doesn’t mean I eat this way every day. And in fact, I eat a lot more than bone broth and vegetables. I eat full meals. I also have days when I eat whatever I want, fries or whatever. But my baseline has really been to try to eat healthy.
