The award-winning Panamanian film National Film Fund Competition in the Fiction or Animation Feature Film Category 2019organized by the Ministry of Culture, will be screened at the “South by Southwest (SXSW)” festival in Austin, Texas, one of the most famous and influential in the world and simultaneously in the official competition of the Malaga Spanish Film Festival.
The plot of the film “Las Hijas” is a story of brotherhood starring Ariana Chávez Gavilán and Cala Rossel Camposboth in their acting debut and tells the story of Marina and Luna, who during their summer vacations travel from Costa Rica to Panama in search of their absent father.
In addition, he reported that “festivals are an instance for business, through which producers they benefit from participating in them, since their films, in addition to being seen by the general public, are seen by other people such as critics, journalists, exhibitors, distributors and festival programmers”.
