Donald Trump expects to be arrested next Tuesday. The former US President claims this on Truth Social.
Former US President Donald Trump (76) caused a stir with a post on his social media network Truth Social. “The overwhelmingly leading Republican candidate and former President of the United States of America will be arrested on Tuesday next week. Protest, take back our nation”, writes Trump in a post on Saturday morning (local time)without providing any evidence to support his claim.
Trump is being investigated for a hush money payment
The New York Attorney’s Office is currently investigating Trump. It is about a hush money payment that Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen (56), who has since been convicted, is said to have made to the porn actress Stormy Daniels (44) in order to avert damage from his boss in the 2016 election campaign. The sum of 130,000 US dollars (around 121,000 euros) is in the room.
In his post, Trump describes this as a “fairy tale.” The 76-year-old claims that he got the information about his alleged imminent arrest through “illegal leaks” from the Manhattan public prosecutor’s office.
