“Given the lack of will and response on the part of the municipal entity, our organization has resolved a measure of force without concurrence to the job and mobilization of all the personnel of the Municipality,” they stated.
The mayor came out to respond and described the measure as “disproportionate” by the union entity, with which he has already gone through a series of conflicts, including a protest at the door of his own house a few years ago.
“We are surprised by this new measure and its disproportion, after the dialogue that has been held to preserve the difficult economic situation that all workers are experiencing,” said the mayor.
From the commune they stressed that there was an agreement with the unions in the joint closing of 2022 with an increase that was three points above inflation of 94.8 percent and that weeks ago a new increase was agreed with both unions until June 39, 15 percent before the inflationary escalation.
“Work is what is going to get us out of this great crisis that Argentina is suffering. With dialogue and joint consensus, the measure can only be understood in the political context of an electoral year,” Uset added.
Before the announcement of the strike, the Municipal Government Secretary summoned the unions to an “urgent” meeting to discuss the issues raised by the union with the intention of “resuming the tasks and services for the neighbors.”
