Zalukaj.vip disappeared from the network, thanks to the Polish police who arrested the people responsible for the operation of the website. The officers of the Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime already in November last year detained a person who was responsible for the technical side of the zalukaj.vip website, and now the owner and originator have joined him. You can see that the fight against internet pirates is entering a new level.
Zalukaj.vip disappears from the network – the police arrested the pirates
The zalukaj.vip website offered access to films and series that were posted there without the consent of the copyright owners and without any licenses from 2020. Department officers Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime in Gorzów made an arrest 28-year-oldwho was responsible for the technical side of the website in November 2022. He joined him in January this year 33 years oldwhich is to be the owner of zalukaj.vip and its originator. The men were charged under Art. 116 sec. 1 and 2 of the Act on Copyright and Related Rights, and the website owner himself was also alleged to have committed additional fraud. He is currently under pre-trial detention.
Zalukaj.vip was one of the largest pirate websites disseminating movies and series. Its activity was based solely on the unlawful distribution of audiovisual content. This resulted in huge financial losses on the part of entities offering legal access to films and series in Poland and elsewhere. The joint actions of the victims and law enforcement authorities led to the closure of the website and the arrest of those responsible for its operation. This shows that the fight against piracy is taken seriously, and the people running this type of service must take into account the disclosure of their identity and the consequences.

This is not the first time such arrests have been made in Poland, and it is also nothing new in the world. In the UK, it ended up in prison, and recently another giant website offering access to illegal content disappeared from the network. There is no need to remind you that such content is illegal, although in Poland you will not be punished for watching it, but sharing it is completely different. The owner of zalukaj.vip may be charged with a gigantic fine, where a similar offense resulted in a fine of PLN 47 million.
