He was arrested on suspicion of dealing in loads of cocaine seized in police actions.
The Justice of Santos determined, this Friday, 17, the release of the former president of the Santos soccer club and researcher of Civil police, Orlando Rollo. He had been in prison for almost four months along with three other investigators on suspicion of trading loads of cocaine seized in police actions with a criminal faction in the country. The three investigators were also released. According to the decision of the 5th Criminal Court of the District of Santos, the panel of the Federal Regional Court (TRF) of the 3rd Region declared, based on the documents presented by the defense of the accused, the illegality of evidence in the process. Even the arrest of the investigators depends, as stated in the decision, on the validity of this evidence. This evidence, however, depends on the process in which it was produced. However, “there is no news that that decision has become final”, says an excerpt from the decision. “Consequently, I suspend this process until the final decision on the validity of the test or for a period of one year”.
