Weak rains, clouds and clear, intense winds and strong swell will make us say goodbye to winter this weekend with a Meteorological stew in the Canary Islandsaccording to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
Specifically, cloudy or overcast skies will predominate in the north of the islands with clear openings during the central hours in the north of the islands and a low probability of some light rain in the early and late hours.
In Lanzarote and the north of Fuerteventura cloudy intervals are expected tending to cloudy at the end of the day. In the rest, slightly cloudy skies with some intervals of high clouds during the early morning.
Temperatures will remain unchanged or slightly lower in general. The northeast wind will blow moderately with strong intervals on the southeast and northwest slopes of the most mountainous islands, where gusts could exceed 60 km/h.
In the sea there will be a north or northeast component, strength 4 or 5, increasing to 6 on the west and east coasts and to 7 offshore on the west and southeast coasts. The storm surge will increase to a strong swell on the west and east coasts and offshore on the southeast coast. On the north coast, northeast force 3 or 4, swell. On south and southwest coasts, variable 1 to 3, breezes, ripples or swells. Northwest swell of 2 to 3 meters.
