Lance Reddick, actor of John Wick, The Wire and Resident Evil, dies

American actor Lance Reddick, best known for his work in series like The Wire or in the saga of action john wickHe has passed away at the age of 60. This has been revealed TMZ.

According to authorities, the actor’s body was discovered this Friday morning around 9:30 am at his home in Studio City in Los Angeles. The cause of his death is still unclear but, in the absence of an autopsy, the authorities believe it was due to natural causes.

Born June 7, 1962, Lance Reddick originally studied at the Eastman School of Music. While trying to pursue a singing career, he injured his back at a part-time job and had to quit. So he would decide to major in drama at Yale University.

His career rose to fame when he played detective Johnny Basil in the series oz and would be established thanks to his role as Cedric Daniels in the acclaimed The Wire. His prolific television career also included roles as Matthew Abaddon in lost; Phillip Broyles in fringe; Chief Irvin Irving in Bosch; or Albert Wesker in the television adaptation of resident Evil for netflix.

On film, Lance Reddick is best remembered for bringing Charon to life throughout the franchise. john wick and will also appear in his next spin-off Ballerina. Recently, she also participated in tapes such as Agent Under Fire (2019), One Night in Miami… (2020) and Godzilla vs. Kong (2021).
