"I've heard dogs bark better": Hugh Grant criticizes the way of singing of Drew Barrymore (and she responds)

unexpectedly, Hugh grant was the star of the last Oscar ceremony. Especially for uncomfortable reasons: when she went on stage with andie mcdowell I affirm that “She’s still gorgeous and I’m a scrotum”and also had a very uncomfortable interview with Ashley Graham. Grant showed a jaded attitude towards the journalist, which triggered both laughter and criticism on Twitter.

Shortly after, the Briton has not tired of making headlines, being interviewed about the imminent premiere of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Grant met in front of the media with chris pine and Michelle Rodriguezco-stars in the film that opens this March 31, and the memory of You the lyrics and I the music. The romantic comedy that in 2007 she starred with Drew Barrymore.

Grant, specifically, gave his opinion on how each of them sang in the film he directed Mark Lawrence. He dropped that Barrymore was “tuning himself out a bit.” “Not as much as others”, but since (we understand) the sweetheart then said that “Drew Barrymore was in that movie with me and I don’t think he cares if I say that his way of singing is horrible”. I have heard dogs bark better what she sings about.

A devastating judgment that Grant qualified immediately. “Once they tuned in,” he continued, “Barrymore sounded so much better than me, she’s got heart and voice and rock’n’roll while i sound like Julie Andrews”. Grant has tried to cover his ass, but that “awful” has gone around the Internet in a way that reaches the ears of Barrymore. The actress has not taken it badly, but she has wanted to respond.

In this way, Barrymore wanted to show that Grant was wrong by singing via Instagram his part of the duet that both interpreters held in You the lyrics and I the music: the titled song Way Back Into Love. #SingForHughGrant JOIN ME we read as a hashtag, and in the video Barrymore said: “Oh Hugh. Bert. Hubert. This is for you”. Everything will have gone well, but Barrymore has taught him a lesson.
