This Thursday March 16, 2023, M6 broadcast a new episode of Beijing Express. This one was marked by the return of Etienne! Remember, the latter had participated in the previous edition of the program – the one before the celebrity edition won by Inès Reg and her sister Anaïs. He had marked the viewers by his expressions and his legendary nonchalance. If he had made us laugh, he was not really the ideal adventurer to participate in the program. His partner, whom he discovered on the first day of the race, also paid the price. Indeed, he had decided to give up, thus dragging down in his fall the one who had so dreamed of participating in the show.
A great first in the history of the program, Etienne made his return to the show, but as a handicap! And the least we can say is that he didn’t make Angie and Nathalie’s job any easier.

Last year, I gave up because I was drained, more psychologically than physically. After a month or two, when I digested all that, I contacted the production again, telling them that I was a little disappointed with my choice and I explained myself. Then they contacted me again to see if I was interested in a role in the new season.
Regarding his new role, Etienne didn’t really have a choice:
I gave them ideas about what I had experienced but they preferred to offer me to be a handicap for a pair.
